Beaver Dash Bash

Join us on the Oakdale Trail systems in Lapeer, MI. for our annual fun day of timed race events. If you’re a bicyclist, e-biker, or runner you can register to help raise funds for future trail improvements, repairs & maintenance. We love to be outdoors and help improve trail conditions for all outdoor enthusiasts.

Fun Courses

With different riding distance options & fun courses, there is something for everyone You may choose the distance you feel comfortable with.

Outdoor Event

All day racing with an outdoor expo, food, and craft beverages.

The Course

The Beaver Dash Bash utilizes the Oakdale Trails, featuring 4 timed race events to challenge riders of all abilities.

  • The 9.5 Mile MTB Singletrack Race
  • The 19 Mile MTB Singletrack Race
  • The 5k Cross-Country Running Race
  • The 10k Cross-Country Running Race

And… for those of you who really want to test your skills and endurance, make it a dual event by choosing to race in both the MTB Singletrack Race and the Cross-Country Running Race!

We also have a Class 1 E-Bike Category for the MTB Singletrack Race.

The Cross-Country Running Race will start at 8:30 am in the “Demille Bowl” (see map) followed by the MTB Singletrack Race starting at 11 am (wave start times TBD).

These events will be timed by Newton Timing & Race Services.

Awards for 1st place finishers from each timed category will be presented shortly after the respective event

Oakdale Trails were designed and built by TrailSense and are part of CRAMBA.

Other (non-timed) Event features include.

  • The 1/4 Mile Youth MTB Race (Age 3-7)
  • The 2 Mile Youth MTB Race (Age 8-12)
  • The Youth Fun Run (Distance TBD, Age 3-7)
  • The Youth Fun Run (Distance TBD, Age 8-12)
  • The Youth Fun Runs will follow the Cross-Country Running Races and the MTB Youth Races will follow the MTB Singletrack Races.

This Year's Cause

Oakdale Trails

All proceeds generated from the Beaver Dash Bash will be designated for use by the Friends of Oakdale Trails, an all volunteer group of local outdoor recreation advocates and trail stewards. The Friends of Oakdale Trails are dedicated to providing access, maintenance, and improvements to this remarkable local resource. All event profits will fund future trail improvements including;

  • Trail maintenance and tread repair
    New trail features such as berms, rollers, ramps, and bridges
  • Oakdale cultural history interpretation
  • Oakdale historical infrastructure restoration
  • Winter grooming and equipment
  • Tool and pump repair stations
  • Signage

The Clinton River Area Mountain Bike Association (CRAMBA), a chapter of the International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA), exists to maintain and develop mountain biking trail access, support relationships with land managers, and promote responsible mountain biking in Southeast Michigan.

If the race is cancelled for any reason, including Covid-19 restrictions, your registration fee will be deferred to the rescheduled event date.
